The University of Southern California asserts that "Broadening a research scope involves moving from a narrow, specific focus to a wider perspective, allowing for more comprehensive insights, greater applicability of findings, and the inclusion of diverse viewpoints. Strategies to broaden research include expanding geographical, temporal, or demographic parameters, engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration, and exploring related, broader issues."
