Computer and communication technologies have existed in various forms, with both moving in parallel directions, impacting the lives of individuals and institutions in different ways. However, the merger of these two technologies has exerted a tremendous effect and influence in just a few decades, significantly surpassing what either computer or communication technology could have achieved on its own over the period of their individual existence. This merger has significantly changed the way we process information, communicate with others, and transact business. It enhances efficiency and stimulates economic growth. This is why developed, developing, and less developed nations have embraced this technological convergence, which highlights the need and urgency for training in information technology. The School of Computing and Informatics offers six Associate of Science Degree programs in computing and informatics. Each program is two years, but can be completed in eighteen months if the trimester arrangement is closely followed. Navigate the programs below and begin a promising career in computing and informatics.
